Innovation and insight is at the heart of the co-operative movement. Because of its focus on the needs of people over profits, co-operatives have been touting the benefits of fair trade, sustainability, social justice, and building local economies long before the rest of the business world caught on.
Today, co-operatives continue to inspire, and co-operative leaders must have the resources and education they need. St. Mary’s University and the Sobey School of Business created the program in Master of Management, Co-operatives and Credit Unions, to create a pool of co-operative leaders who could further the innovations of their predecessors.
